What is a Log Book Service?

A logbook service is a service carried out at a specific time or kilometers as set out by the vehicle manufacturer.

Do you have Loan cars and how much do they cost?

Unfortunately we do not offer loan vehicles. However, we do offer drop off & pick-ups within a reasonable radius.

Will I lose my New Car Warranty if I don't go back to the dealer?

You will not void your new car warranty by bringing your vehicle to The Mechanic Shop for servicing. Truth be told, manufacturers are not allowed to force you to take the vehicle back to them for servicing although they imply it keeps your vehicle warranty intact. Having your vehicle serviced by an independent workshop like The Mechanic Shop not only saves you money, but the whole process is more convenient without affecting your new car warranty at all. How long will the service take?

All service times vary, dependent on the vehicle and whether minor or major services are required.

How can I pay for my Service?

The Mechanic Shopaccept cash, Visa Card & Master Card. We also offer Zip pay.

When are you Open?

We open at 7.30am Monday to Friday.

Are you open on weekends?

We do not open weekends.

Will you give me reminders when my next sercive is due?

We are able to set you up for emailed service reminders every 6 or 12 months.

How often should I really service my car?

We recommend servicing your vehicle every 10,000km or 6 monthly. Which ever comes first.

Do you check my brakes during a service?

We carry out a full vehicle check-over during all vehicle services.
